🍌🍞 Banana cabra crunch
A warm, buttery celebration of sweet fruit and salty cheese over crunchy country bread rustic elegance in every bite.
📝 Ingredients (serves 2)
- 2 slices of country bread or rustic sourdough 
- 1 tablespoon butter 
- 1 banana, sliced 
- 4 Medjool dates, pitted and chopped 
- 2 slices of fresh goat cheese (queso fresco de cabra) 
- Ground cinnamon, to taste 
- Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling 
🍳 Instructions
1. Toast the bread
- Lightly toast the slices of bread until golden and crisp. Set aside. 
2. Sauté the fruit
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. 
- Add the banana slices and chopped dates. 
- Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently, until golden and slightly caramelized. 
3. Assemble the toast
- Place the toasted bread on serving plates. 
- Spoon the warm banana-date mixture evenly over each slice. 
- Sprinkle with ground cinnamon. 
- Top each with a slice of fresh goat cheese. 
4. Serve warm
- Optional: Drizzle with a little honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness. 
- Serve immediately and enjoy the warm contrast of textures and flavors.
