📝 Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 slices of country bread or rustic sourdough

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 banana, sliced

  • 4 Medjool dates, pitted and chopped

  • 2 slices of fresh goat cheese (queso fresco de cabra)

  • Ground cinnamon, to taste

  • Optional: honey or maple syrup for drizzling

🍳 Instructions

1. Toast the bread

  • Lightly toast the slices of bread until golden and crisp. Set aside.

2. Sauté the fruit

  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

  • Add the banana slices and chopped dates.

  • Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring gently, until golden and slightly caramelized.

3. Assemble the toast

  • Place the toasted bread on serving plates.

  • Spoon the warm banana-date mixture evenly over each slice.

  • Sprinkle with ground cinnamon.

  • Top each with a slice of fresh goat cheese.

4. Serve warm

  • Optional: Drizzle with a little honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness.
