🧀🐐 Mediterra figs

Fresh figs split open and filled with creamy goat cheese, wrapped in jamón and lightly roasted, sweet, salty, and irresistible.

📝 Ingredients (serves 2–4 as appetizer)

  • 6 fresh ripe figs

  • 60 g soft goat cheese

  • 6 slices jamón serrano (thin)

  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • Cracked black pepper to finish

  • Optional drizzle: honey or aged balsamic

🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the figs

  • Wash and dry the figs.

  • Slice each fig in half lengthwise.

2. Assemble

  • Place a small spoonful of goat cheese on the cut side of each fig half.

  • Tear each slice of jamón serrano in half and drape or wrap it around each fig half.

  • Optional: add a small rosemary or thyme leaf on top.

3. Cook (oven or air fryer)

  • Oven: 200 °C, 4 min

  • Air fryer: 180 °C, 2 min
→ Until cheese is warm and jamón edges begin to crisp.

4. Finish

  • Let cool briefly.

  • Add black pepper and an optional drizzle of honey or balsamic.

🌿 Kuisit Tip

Use ripe but firm figs, they hold their shape better when cooked. The slight melting of the goat cheese and the crisped edge of jamón make this bite addictive. Try adding crushed nuts like pistachio for texture.
